The Flyover combines the best omnium races in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin into one Championship Midwest Omnium Race Series.

Our aim is to make this the most prestigious amateur race series in North America.

The Flyover has equal payout for men and women, a focus on junior development, and 2017 brings the addition of cash prizes for Masters Men 1/2/3/ 40+.

The series promotes growth in youth cycling by aligning with USA Cycling’s Road Development Race series (RDRS). The RDRS junior riders development program provides racing to juniors 9-years-old and up and scores boys and girls separately.   Like the elite men and women, our juniors compete for Flyover points and are awarded Flyover trophies for 1st-3rd places.

The Format

The format of each race in the series will be an Omnium. Each omnium race will have similar cycling styles, either a Time-Trial, Criterium, Road Race or Circuit Race. Athletes will be scored on all 5 races according to the progressive scoring method our lines in the “Rules and Scoring.

The Region

The midwest regional race states include the “flyover states,” Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin. Soon, these flyover states will be known as the destination states for premier amateur cycling competition.
